Indoor Facilities
Campus Rec's indoor facilities provide most users all the ammenities they want.
CRCE is the pulse of Campus Rec's indoor offerings. Soon we will be adding the 340,000-square foot Activities and Recreation Center. Our Outdoor Center and Ice Arena have opportunities that aren't offered everywhere. We also manage Freer Pool for the campus.
Outdoor Facilities
Campus Rec believes in the Great Outdoors as "our playground" for a ton of recreational sports on campus. Between the Outdoor Center Fields and Complex Fields, Intramural Activities hosts softball, soccer, flag football, basketball, sand volleyball and more. In our collaboration with registered organizations, we provide space for lacrosse, rugby, and ultimate disc.
Seasonally, our Open Rec hours provide the space, the time, and the field supervisors and let you determine the action. Open Rec is available, weather permitting, when the fields have optimal conditions.
Additionally, the Illini Grove is a natural picnic area in the heart of campus. It has amenities such as picnic tables, well-used grills, and a pavilion. A sand volleyball court, basketball court and horseshoe pits make this a great spot for a short get-away.
Facility Updates
Priority Courts: CRCE has times when courts are reserved for specific groups. View reserved times.
Volleyball Reservations: CRCE has one volleyball court available for reservation. Reservations can be made at CRCE's Member Services, or call (217) 244-3440. Court is available Monday-Friday, 7 pm-close and Saturday-Sunday, all day.
Swimmers: Due to the renovation, arrangements have been made with the Urbana Park District to allow Campus Rec members to purchase a membership at half the resident rate. Visit www.urbanaparks.org or call (217) 367-1544 for additional information.
