To everything you depend on, there
are down sides; templates are no exceptions:
• By default, the entire template is locked until you create
options for editing.
• Once you apply a template, you can no longer edit page
properties.
• When you create a template, DreamWeaver places them in
a "templates" folder; if you move the template out of
its folder, you break all the links connected to it and all the
pages created by it.
• When linking you must use let DreamWeaver create the link
in the Property Inspector (or by pressing Ctrl+L) for relative links.
Absolute links are not a problem. Part of this stems from the change
made from the template, in the template folder, which corrects for
this path when 'instances' or new pages are mad based on the template.
