We're all in the business of creating usable information
in this newest platform. Part digital, part design, all communications–sometimes
we're too close to the subject to be subjective. As designers, programmers
and even support staff, when we take on care and maintenance of
a website we become involved with interface decisions at every turn.
When even considering your template design, here are a couple of
things to consider:
• know the goals of your department/area;
• talk to the people who will be using your
website;
• have a plan for keeping the site 'fresh.'
