You've probably been there; it might
be a product page that includes a multitude of offerings; or maybe
items in a research project. Whatever it is, you find yourself repeating
a similar row over and over again. Repeating regions offers you
the option to create a region, or an item, that can repeated and
modified as many times as you need it.
To create a repeating region:
• Click the Repeating region button in the Templates tab of
the Insert bar;
• Go to the menu bar > Inser t> Template Objects >
Repeating Region
Type in a name for your repeating region, and click OK. Your template
now shows your new repeating region.
Repeating Tables
Another repeating tool, Macromedia provides this option that creates
a table, consisting of rows that repeat (just remember: you can't
create a repeating table in an established editable, repeating or
optional region):
• Click the Repeating Table button in the Templates tab of
the Insert bar; fill out the properties of the table (including
starting/ending rows) and name the table; click OK.
You can rename the tables, as their have basic regional nomenclature,
but you must make these determinations before you create child pages.
(Note: consensus is still out on these two template options, especially
repeating tables...try them out and google responses before you
go too far. ie. dreamweaver-templates.com)
